  • QQ Noodle House @ Bugis
Friday, January 8, 2016 | Posted by Jean
I have always walked past the eatery whenever I shop around Bugis+ & Bugis Junction, but I just didn't get the chance to give QQ House a try, given that there are always so many restaurants in the same area.

So one fine day, I decided to try it with my mum after shopping from Raffles City, down to Suntec & finally to Bugis. Yea, we walked quite a bit. :P

The menu itself was impressive. I never expect that there were so many different items in such a small place. They have appetizer, soups, lots of noodle choices and if you ain't a fan for noodles, they have rice dishes too.

Being the first time there, of course we ordered what was recommended, the signature dishes, and I'm glad I made the right choice. It was so delicious, I had to bring my better half there to try again just few days apart.

QQ House Speciality - Premium Kolo Mee

Premium Kolo Mee is the same as the normal kolo mee they have, just that there is more toppings - which I believe it's only the prawns. Nonetheless, it is still as good! The noodles are springy and the fragrant shallot oil is the one that binds everything together and make it so tasty! It is something that I always refers to "家的味道" (a taste of home), where I find it in my grandma's cooking.

    Stir-Fry QQ Noodles

If you like Char Kuay Teow, then you should try this! Instead of the normal soft flat rice noodle, it is replace to the springy QQ Noodles! Flavourful at every bite with the sweet & soy sauce coating evenly on the noodles. It replaced the love I had for char kuay teow. :D

    Creamed Abalone Mushroom

Creamy, crunchy, crispy, fragrant! If you always go to tze char stalls and order Butter Crab or Butter Prawns, TRY THIS! The price of this is much friendly to your pocket, but it gives you the same satisfaction & your tastebuds will thank you for this.

All in all, I believe QQ Noodle House serves really decent food at affordable prices. I like the consistency in their food standard and I hope they do continue to maintain it. Definitely going back again to try more of their dishes in future! :)

    Just ME. :)

Taddaahhh~ Well.. before the first day of 2016 comes to an end, I have decided to post a short entry about myself to kick start my food & travel blog.

I am not any social media influencer, and I hardly get sponsored to restaurants for food tasting these days. None of my trips are sponsored thus far, and my photos may not be the best that you seen too. My command of english is not fantastic, but I miss blogging & I am passionate to share good stuffs with anyone. :)

I travel once in a while, because I have a lovely mum who loves to travel too. Eventually, I became one of the companion that she choose to travel with. Food photography became a hobby over the years, and I made a promise with myself that once I get a new camera for my food & travelogues, I will restart my blogging too.

Yes, I used to blog, but that was more than 6-7 years ago. Throughout this years, more and more 'bloggers' became famous and some were lucky that they get paid through blogging. I am trying to jump onto the bangwagon with the other influencers, that's not my priority, but I'd be happy if someday I were to be given opportunities like them too. Most importantly, I am giving myself a space to remember my trips in details, and countless meals I get to enjoy with great companions.

2015 ended too fast and furiously for me, and I felt that I started to lose myself in a busy hectic full-time job. 2016 marks a start for me to remind myself that 'PASSION' is a very important factor in life, and that it is a motivator to keep you moving forward to learn & give more than you could.

    To a better year ahead, to a juicy-licious blog ahead~ Happy 2016, earthlings. :)
